Program-1: 10,000 International Gita Gurus by 2040 & 100,000 by 2100.

We are committed to creating 10,000 international Gita Gurus by the year 2040, and 1,00,000 by the year 2100, as part of a visionary effort to promote global peace through inner awakening and spiritual education. We firmly believe that sustainable global peace can only be achieved through true global citizenship. To foster this, it is essential that individuals explore the fundamental nature of their inner selves and understand the deeper purpose of human life—a privilege unique to the human birth.

To support this inner exploration, we propose introducing the Bhagavad Gita—the sovereign science of consciousness—as a rigorous and universal discipline to individuals outside India. This is only feasible if we develop a widespread global network of qualified Gita Professors:

  • 1 Gita Guru per 1 million people by 2040
  • 1 Gita Guru per 1 lakh people by 2100

We will identify spiritually inclined and ethically grounded individuals from countries around the world (excluding India), screen them thoroughly, and invite qualified candidates to Gita University for a 4-month residential program. This intensive training will include Bhagavad Gita studies, meditation, yoga, and applied Advaita Vedanta, preparing them to become certified Gita Gurus in their respective regions.

Our broader vision is to ensure that the wisdom of Yogic Science and Advaita Vedanta reaches over 50% of the world’s population by 2050, and 75% by 2100. To achieve this, we have designed Programs 2 to 8 as outlined below. For further details, we invite you to review our core strategic documents:

  • The Global Advaita Blueprint
  • Six Sacraments for the World or the 9 takeaways video (QR Code at the end of this booklet)

We hold an unshakable conviction that this initiative can
eradicate the deep-rooted toxicities that divide humanity—including those of religion, nationality, language, ethnicity, and caste—and instead foster a profound unity grounded in the indivisible oneness of all souls.

🌱 The Outcome
Our goal within the first ten years is to provide intensive Bhagavad Gita training to 6,000 carefully selected, spiritually inclined individuals annually, at the rate of 2,000 participants every four months. We will begin modestly, with an inaugural year of 600 trainees, spread across three batches of 200 students each, and gradually scale up to full capacity over a decade. This phased and intentional expansion will enable us to train a total of 33,000 individuals within the first ten years of Gita University’s operation.

Upon successful completion of the program, all trainees will undergo formal assessment and certification under the esteemed guidance of India’s most revered Advaita Mutts. Those who meet the prescribed standards will be awarded the respected title of “Gita Professor.”

Among these certified teachers, a few visionary individuals will go on to establish their own self-sustaining satsangs on 10-acre campuses, creating sacred spaces for immersive retreats and lifelong learning. Others will become digital ambassadors, disseminating Gita wisdom through global online platforms and multilingual media. Many will take up roles as visiting professors,

sharing this timeless knowledge in corporate boardrooms, universities, interfaith forums, and spiritual gatherings around the world.

Our tangible objective is to see at least 10,000 of these 33,000 certified Gita Professors actively engaged in global service by the year 2040, offering healing for emotional suffering, clarity amidst moral confusion, and spiritual realignment through the eternal teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. This will be a completely free offering, given in the spirit of seva, under our global initiative — Mission Five Billion.

And to those who may view this vision as over-ambitious, we offer a gentle but firm reflection: Is it truly excessive to aspire for 10,000 Gita Gurus by 2040 and 1,00,000 by 2100, when the world already has over five million pastors, including more than two million in India alone? Our vision is not an exaggeration — it is a spiritual necessity, born of dharmic urgency and universal compassion.

Eligibility for Becoming a Gita Guru and Our Global Target Audience

In an age where material success is celebrated but inner fulfillment remains elusive, the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita emerges as the world’s most profound antidote to suffering, confusion, and spiritual emptiness. The International School for Bhagavad Gita is committed to identifying and training a new generation of global spiritual educators—Gita Gurus—who are deeply committed not to a religion, but to universal truth.

Who is Eligible to Become a Gita Guru?

We are not looking for scholars with countless degrees, nor monks with strict rituals. We are seeking elevated souls—individuals across the globe who possess a rare sensitivity to truth, a longing to understand the mysteries of life and death, and a natural detachment from the compulsions of worldly gratification. These are not ordinary individuals. They are among the 1% of humanity—those who:

  • Are disenchanted with the endless chase of material pleasures.
  • Are not bound by obsessive familial attachments or rigid social identities.
  • Seek answers to the timeless questions: Who am I? Where was I before birth? Where will I go after death? What is the purpose of my existence?
  • Feel an inner calling to serve not just their community, but the planet at large.
  • Believe in transcending labels of race, religion, or nation, and recognizing themselves as pure consciousness—a divine being experiencing its reflection through Nature.

Such individuals may be found in any corner of the world—whether living in silence among the mountains or working in corporate towers. What binds them is not outer lifestyle, but inner readiness.

At the International School for Bhagavad Gita, we are not merely training teachers—we are awakening messengers of truth who can carry the universal wisdom of the Gita across nations, beyond religious identities, and into the heart of a divided world.

The primary eligibility to be accepted into our Gita Guru training program is not based on academic qualifications, professional background, or religious affiliation. It is based on a deep inner maturity—a refined consciousness that has begun to transcend the illusions of separation and superficial identity.

Applicants must be individuals who have moved beyond attachment or obsession with their:

  • Country or nationality
  • Religion or denomination
  • Caste, creed, or community
  • Race or ethnicity
  • Language or gender
  • Social or academic status
  • Color, wealth, or appearance

These attributes, though functionally real, are ultimately fictional and fleeting in the eyes of eternal truth. Those who cling to them as primary sources of identity are still entangled in Māyā, the cosmic illusion.

Instead, eligible candidates should be those who radiate love, compassion, and reverence for all living beings, including animals, plants, and the very ecosystem of planet Earth. They should possess a quiet inner contentment and a sense of wonder at life itself—not just the stars and galaxies, but the miracle of the human body, the mystery of thought, and the precision of existence

They should be able to look at:

  • A flower or a fruit and see not just biology, but beauty.
  • The structure of bones, joints, muscles, and organs—not with pride, but with awe.
  • The eyes, ears, brain, lungs, heart, and digestive system—not as utilities, but as miracles of conscious design.
  • The process of perception, sensation, thought, and speech—not as mechanical, but as sacred.

Such individuals must recognize that the Divine is not remote, sitting in judgment from afar. Instead, they must realize that God lives within them and around them—in every atom, in every breath, in every being. They should see no difference between what they call “Creation” and what they call “Creator.”

A true aspirant must not seek God in fear, or in books, or in distant heavens—but in awareness, wonder, and oneness.

Applicants who still harbor excessive material ambition or sexual obsession may find it difficult to grasp the subtle, non-dual wisdom of the Gita. While perfection is not required, a clear orientation toward simplicity, contentment, and spiritual curiosity is essential.

This training is not a certification course—it is a sacred covenant. Only those who are ready to transcend their conditioning, dissolve the false “I,” and discover the Self as Divine, are truly eligible to carry the eternal voice of the Bhagavad Gita to the world.

If you carry this understanding—or at least a deep longing to live by it—you are welcome to apply.

The Global Psychologist Shortage: A Growing Concern

As of 2023, the United States employs approximately 81,000 psychologists, with over 198,000 therapists practicing nationwide. Globally, the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) represents around one million psychologists across 93 national psychology organizations. Despite these numbers, there remains a significant shortage of mental health professionals worldwide.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that the global average of psychologists working in the mental health sector is approximately 13 per 100,000 people. This figure drops dramatically in low-income countries, where there may be fewer than two mental health workers per 100,000 individuals. Such disparities highlight the urgent need for increased investment in mental health services globally.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated the demand for mental health services. Research has demonstrated an increase in mental health concerns among people affected by COVID-19, including panic disorder, irrational anger, impulsivity, somatization, disordered sleep, posttraumatic stress symptoms, and suicidal behavior. These challenges have led to longer waitlists for psychological services and difficulties in accessing evidence-based treatments.

Addressing the Shortage
To mitigate the growing demand for mental health services, innovative approaches are being explored. One such approach is task-sharing, where trained non-specialists deliver psychological interventions. Programs like Sangath in India and The Friendship Bench in Zimbabwe have demonstrated the effectiveness of community-based mental health support, leveraging trained volunteers to address mental health care shortages, particularly in low-resource settings.
Financial Times

In addition to these initiatives, integrating spiritual wisdom can offer a complementary path to healing. The Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Indian scripture, provides profound insights into the nature of the self, the causes of suffering, and the path to inner peace. Its teachings on detachment, duty, and self-realization can serve as valuable tools for individuals seeking deeper understanding and resilience.

We invite the spiritually elevated psychologists to enrol for our Gita Gurus Program.
The escalating global mental health crisis necessitates innovative and holistic solutions. By combining the strengths of modern psychology with the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, we can offer individuals a comprehensive path to healing and self-discovery. Training Gita Gurus to disseminate these teachings can play a pivotal role in addressing the growing demand for mental health support, fostering a more balanced and enlightened society.

Our Vision: Transcend Without Converting
We do not support religious conversion. The Gita does not ask for it. Instead, our training enables individuals to transcend all religious labels and uncover the common thread of divinity that unites all beings. A Gita Guru does not preach a new religion. Rather, they embody and transmit the timeless truths of Karma, Dharma, Yoga, and Self-realization.

We believe that people of all faiths and backgrounds can absorb the Gita’s essence without abandoning their culture or beliefs. We teach our Gurus how to respect and honor all traditions while pointing seekers toward their universal self—Atman—beyond all attributes.

Our Global Reach: Connecting the 1% Through Media and Cinema
To reach these rare souls scattered across continents, we are producing a powerful, thought-provoking film titled “Something Wrong.” Unlike typical entertainment, this film will serve as a spiritual alarm clock, waking up the dormant questions in mature souls who are ready to evolve. It will explore the root causes of suffering, the illusions of identity, and the silent yearning for eternal truth that exists in the hearts of millions.

Our strategy includes:

  • Releasing the film globally across OTT platforms, theatres, and social media.
  • Creating hundreds of short films and digital reels in the world’s most spoken languages.
  • Reaching 1% of the global population—those ready to rise above the noise and reconnect with their divine origin.

These media efforts are not promotional—they are transformational. Their sole aim is to help people recognize that:

You are not the body. You are not the mind. You are the witness. You are the eternal.

The 4-Month Gita Guru Training Program
Those who feel inspired by our vision and awakened by our message can apply for our 4-month intensive training. This program includes:

  • Daily in-depth study of the Bhagavad Gita’s verses and universal teachings.
  • Practical training in Hatha Yoga, meditation, and spiritual lifestyle disciplines.
  • Personal mentorship by realized teachers and authentic masters.
  • Teaching skills, cross-cultural communication, and emotional clarity.

Graduates will become certified International Gita Gurus, empowered to teach, counsel, and guide seekers from all backgrounds. They will be global emissaries of balance, compassion, and self-realization.

A Call to the World’s Seekers
If you have ever felt that something is deeply wrong with the world—or that something inside you is waiting to be awakened—you may be one of the souls we are seeking.

This is not a course. This is a mission. This is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who you have always been.

Let the eternal wisdom of the Gita find its voice in you. Let your life become the message.
Apply. Train. Awaken the world.
