Self learning Bhagawad Gita
Gita in Hindustani Classical Music Ragas
The main hurdle for today’s youth and children to understand “GITA” is that “one has to read it”. We all know that reading and learning is very difficult in today’s digital world. Overcome this; if one tries to learn from YouTube, the current videos are found to be of no use for beginners. They are not recited in a style that will be pleasing to the general public.
Moreover, many of the Gita explanations that we find on YouTube are extremely lengthy. With the desire to make us somehow understand the Tatva, the Gita preachers will teach one sloka extending too long for 15-20 minutes. This may be okay for older generation people, but cannot be digested by today’s youth. They are smart and can understand things very easily, even if one translates the Sanskrit sloka into their native language. This is what we have done in this version.
The meanings are also not presented and recited in a way where a normal person can casually listen and catch the essence of the sloka. Also, to make the slokas soothing to ears, the sloka is not recited in Mantra style, but with Hindustani Ragas. This gives that additional divine feels while listening.
This is the first of its kind in the world and we are sure that over 95% of the formally educated and about 50% of the uneducated can understand “Gita” if they just repeatedly listen.
If one can just play it in their free time at home or at the office or just before bed, one can effortlessly understand Bhagawat Gita completely.
