Funding for Gita University Construction

Plan A – Gita University (200-250 acre campus, ₹2,200 crore budget)

Gita University is a visionary initiative conceived in December 2018 and under development for over a decade. The project envisions a 200-acre campus with 25 lakh sq. ft. of institutionally owned infrastructure, created as a permanent asset of the Foundation. The estimated budget is ₹2,200 crores, to be financed by 220 of India’s wealthiest philanthropists contributing ₹10 crores each, thereby becoming co-owners and guiding stakeholders in this historic mission.

To launch a successful crowdfunding and donor engagement strategy, four essential pillars are being prioritized:

  1. The project must demonstrate clear viability and broad benefit to society.

  2. Endorsements from India’s most respected celebrities will add credibility and reach.

  3. National media engagement, through print, television, and digital platforms, will communicate the vision with clarity and impact.

  4. A robust social media strategy will connect with professionals, entrepreneurs, and global Indian communities capable of contributing meaningfully.

To realize this plan, we have identified 250 acres of private land, currently quoted at ₹2 crore per acre, with the possibility of securing it at nearly 20% lower cost. Alongside continued efforts to liaise with the Telangana State Government, we are seeking a grant or interest-free loan of ₹500 crores to secure this parcel as the permanent home for Gita University.

For this purpose, outreach has already begun with global billionaires, royal families, India’s 100 richest individuals, and select national banks to explore structured philanthropy, land procurement loans, and collaborative financing models.

ALTERNATE PLAN (PLAN B)

Plan B – International Vedic Club (100 acres, semi-owned asset worth ₹600 crores)

Plan B envisions the establishment of an International Vedic Club as a scaled-down alternative to the original Gita University concept, reducing land requirements by 50% and the budget by 30%. The proposed project will be developed as a semi-owned asset on a 100-acre campus, with an estimated budget of ₹600 crores.

The model involves 1,944 private contributors, each investing ₹30 lakhs for a 250 sq. ft. executive room, designed and built to international 7-star standards. Members will have lifetime access to their room for 65 days each year, with memberships transferable to their children (subject to the same maximum annual usage of 65 days).

As a first step, we are planning to launch a Private Vedic Club at Shankarpally on 12 acres, with 3.5 lakh sq. ft. of infrastructure capable of accommodating nearly 10,000 members at varying annual usage levels (from 10 days to 50 days). This facility will feature 700 super executive rooms, with 80% allocated to members and 20% reserved for seekers. The estimated budget for this initial project is ₹350 crores.

A dedicated website — www.thevedicclub.com — will go live by 30th September 2025 to facilitate outreach, enrollment, and communication.

The private club, named The Hyderabad Vedic Club, will be managed for a period of five years, after which it will be handed over to the members’ association. At that stage, the Foundation will shift its focus and activities to the larger Gita University campus or to another Vedic Club, where usage will be divided in a 60:40 ratio between members and seekers.

ALTERNATE PLAN (PLAN C)

Plan C – International School for Bhagavad Gita

The International School for Bhagavad Gita is the scaled-down seed version of the original Gita University vision, now taking shape on an 11-acre campus at Shankarpally, Hyderabad, just 32 km from Kokapet SEZ and 66 km from Hyderabad International Airport.

The development is being carried out by M/s. Sri Castle Estates and M/s. D3Y Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd., under the able leadership of Shri Mahesh Reddy and Shri Anand Reddy. The residential villa community at the heart of this campus has been named Sri Vedic Township — designed as an exclusive community township for Hindus, blending modern living with timeless Vedic culture.

Current Status

  • Jungle clearance and leveling works have been completed.
  • Compound wall construction is 90% finished; the front wall is in active progress.
  • Irrigation approvals and NOCs from relevant departments have been secured by the developers.
  • Campus layout and architectural planning is finalized, awaiting HMDA approval expected by end of October 2025.

The Township Vision

A total of 159 duplex and triplex villas are planned, each ranging between 2000–2400 sft. We anticipate at least 100 villa owners will lease their villas to the project.

Each leased villa will receive ₹75,000 monthly rent, with the school assuring operations at this campus for a minimum of two years.

Planned Programs: Once 100 villas are secured, providing 300 rooms (600 beds), of which 100 rooms will be reserved for management and staff, we will be able to commence flagship programs:

  1. 3-Week Advaita Program for Affluent Youth – a transformative residential experience with a capacity of 500 participants per batch every month.
  2. 1-Day Advaita Retreat for the Urban Middle Class – conducted daily, with the ability to host 1,000 participants per day.

Both these programs will be structured as commercial offerings, carrying nominal participation fees to ensure quality, sustainability, and reach.

Parallel Efforts

While the developer progresses with sales and EOIs (project launch targeted for 1st December 2025), our foundation is also working to secure villas directly through contributions and donations from corporates, celebrities, institutions, and royal families. These villas will remain dedicated to the Advaita mission and Gita-based education.
